Central Compressor Services are a registered supplier with the Carbon Trust Loan Scheme. The loan scheme is without cost and all we have to do is prove the energy savings are there
! We offer FREE compressed
air energy surveys to identify potential energy savings and can even do
most of the loan application for you on-line. Call or Email us to
request your FREE energy audit. The compressors we supply qualify for
the Carbon Trust's Enhanced Capital Allowance (ECA) scheme and this can
give you £'000s in tax relief with the purchase of energy efficient
compressors.Equipment installations
Having purchased your new compressed air plant you will need an expert to install and commission the equipment. CCS has this expertise and can advise on the best location and configuration for your system. The correct operating temperatures play an important part in reliability and longevity, summer and winter conditions need to be considered together with access for servicing and so on. We will always listen carefully to your needs and make suitable proposals.

On-site maintenance
Regular maintenance is an important factor in keeping your compressed air system operating in an efficient and reliable manner; indeed it is a requirement of the current pressure systems regulations. The consequences of a failure can at best be inconvenient and at worst bring your business to a complete stand-still. Servicing the machinery as recommended by the manufacturer will minimise the possibility of breakdowns. We have a team of engineers available to service all of your compressed air equipment during the normal working week or at your convenience.
Service Agreements
CCS operates a Service Agreement scheme whereby we will attend site at the required intervals and carry out the maintenance needed according to the manufacturer’s recommendations. CCS will contact you before each visit is due to make final arrangements. In return for the commitment Service Agreement customers benefit from labour and travel at a fixed price, calculated at preferential rates.
24 hour service for emergency breakdowns
Inevitably machinery of any type can fail and normally does just when you need it most! At CCS we recognise that continuity of business is critical to our customers. We are responsive to priorities and will do all in power to bring you back to a working condition as soon as possible via a straightforward repair or perhaps provision of alternative plant. Our bleeper system is operational 24/7.
PSSR - System Documentation and Safety Examinations
The Pressure System Safety Regulations apply to all but the smallest of compressed air systems. In combination with one of our partner organisations CCS is able to survey your system and draw up the necessary documentation to maintain the required standards. We are able to arrange for the periodic inspections to take place to ensure your system remains in compliance with the regulations.
Air Quality Tests
Where a breathing air system is in use it’s vitally important that the quality of air is regularly checked. CCS is able to undertake these tests to ensure the health and safety of your staff is not compromised.
Leak Detection
With the escalating costs of energy it’s almost criminal for simple air leaks to be wasting that precious compressed air commodity. CCS operates a leak detection service that will put your mind at rest. It can be hard for the human ear to identify and locate leaks, especially in a noisy environment, but our sensitive equipment will quickly find the source for rectification. Give us a try, if leaks are found the cost of visit is normally recouped several times over within the year.
Air-end Reconditioning
Screw and vane compressors are very long lasting but eventually bearings do wear, therefore on every service visit we observe the condition of the plant being maintained and are able to advise if an air-end needs more than the normal regular attention. If your compressor requires the air-end to be overhauled, CCS will undertake to strip the unit, refurbish the assembly, refit and commission so that it can give many more years of good service. During the repair period we are able to offer a short-term loan compressor to ensure business continuity.
